Sanur Beach is an 8 km long beach stretch situated at the south-eastern coastline of Bali. Many different beaches are connected to a paved path. The beach line starts from the Padanggalak beach, which hosts the annual Bali kites festival.

About 2 km from the south, the sunrise beach Pantai Matahari Terbit beach is situated. The beach is similar to Padanggalak beach, and host hundreds of locals and travellers on weekends. You will find many traditional food stalls on the beach selling local dishes and drinks.

By continuing the walk further to the south you will find most of the main beaches of Sanur.


The central strip of Sanur Beach is Pantai Segara Ayu, which is covered by reef and offers ideal swimming conditions. At the northern end of the beach, you will find locals crowd on weekends. May commercial wooden boat can be seen taking passengers from Pantai Segara Ayu to Lembongan island. 

Some of the popular sea activities you can do at the beach are diving, sea kayaking, kitesurfing, kite flying and cycling. You can take most of the gear on rent at affordable prices on beach itself. At the southward of Pantai Segara, you will find cleaner beaches maintained by beachfront hotels and resorts. The waves are calm enough for swimming and at some section of beach, hotel run daybeds & gazebos are available.
