Sekumpul waterfall is the most stunning waterfall on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The waterfall is a collection of seven narrow cascades surrounded by lush green rain forest. The waterfall is named after local village Sekumpul, which is located in Buleleng regency of north Bali.

Sekumpul waterfall is one of the best places you won’t risk to miss during your vacation in Bali.

ABOUT WATERFALL

Sekumpul waterfall is located in the Sekumpul village of Sawan sub-district. The waterfall is named after the local village named Sekumpul, which means a group or collection in the local language. The waterfall is situated at the side of a high cliff which separates the main water flow into seven different waterfalls with different height and water flow.

The waterfall is about 80 meters tall which make it the tallest waterfall in Bali. To reach to the waterfall one has to go through the rain forest. Access to waterfall was not allowed for the outsider in past it was only opened for tourist a few years back.

However, the place gained a lot of popularity among the tourists in a very short period. You will get mesmerised by the view and natural beauty of waterfall and its surroundings. The trek to the location offers some amazing views of the rainforest filled with coffee and cocoa trees.

You can take a guide here to know about the place but if want to go without a guide you won’t miss much about the place. As the place is all about its natural beauty and rainforest.

Entrance fee for the waterfall is around 20,000/- IDS which is approx 104/- Indian rupee. Except that there is no additional cost to visit the place as the parking here is free.

Best Time to Visit Sekumpul Waterfall

You can visit the waterfall anytime throughout the year. Since Bali is a tropical island, the best time to visit the place is during the dry season which starts from April to October.

If you want to go for trekking we would advise you to start your journey early in the morning. In this time there is enough daylight to explore the beauty of the forest and to take stunning photographs.

Since the waterfall is deep inside the thick rainforest is not advised to visit the waterfall during the cloudy days. As you won’t able to see much in the rainforest which can create a problem.

All seven waterfalls are almost visible throughout the year but you depending on the time you won’t able to see all seven waterfalls depending on the time of year.

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.

It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however.
